A painting is kept in private collections in Europe has been identified as the work of the Italian maestro, Titian.

In an article in the Burlington Magazine, an art historian from the University of Vienna Artur Rosenauer said the painting was "maintained very amazing."
"It is rare for a work hitherto unknown to the fore," said Rosenauer.
The art professor also believes that this painting was created and intended for the holy procession and brotherhood.
This painting belongs to a family known Von Bulow in the 19th century, including German chancellor Heinrich Bernhard von Bulow, until he died in 1929.
The painting is then believed to have been traveling to South America and then purchased by the current owner of Montevideo in Uruguay.
"Standing on top of his tomb, a monumental figure of Jesus Christ is depicted in a heroic stance. Awakening his left hand holds the flag, while his right hand raised in a blessing gesture of victory," wrote Rosenauer.

Tiziano Vecellio, known as Titian, was an outstanding painter of the Venetian school and one of the most important artists of the Renaissance in Italy.
