Bill Gates: CTRL + ALT + DEL the IBM Mistake

Recently the founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates, reveal that the use of the CTRL + ALT + DEL this is IBM's mistake, why is that? Bill Gates, say that first he wanted to function CTRL + ALT + DEL replaced with one button, but IBM keyboard design does not allow to do so.

Of course you never use the key combination CTRL + ALT + DEL hundreds to thousands of times as long as you use the computer. Combination CTRL + ALT + DEL is a powerful combination to address the problematic computers or hang.

It was Bill Gates initially wanted to replace the function of CTRL + ALT + DEL by pressing a few buttons to make it more practical. However, the design of the IBM keyboard when it is not possible to perform these functions only with a single button.

"That was a mistake. We could have a button, but the people who design and IBM designed the keyboard does not want to give us the keys, "said Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft in an interview.

Bill Gates samapai is still considered that the combination of CTRL + ALT + DEL this is a mistake and a combination of these buttons can still be used on computers with Windows operating systems. Then who the real designer of IBM keyboards that time? Engineer David Bradley. He was an engineer who was working at IBM as a designer.

"I had originally intended to become what we now call Easter egg - just something that we use in development and will not be available after that."

"But then (software publishers) know about it. They are trying to figure out how to tell someone if there is a problem on one of their programs, and they have the answer. Only input diskette, click CTRL + ALT + DEL, and the program runs magically, "said David Bradley, as reported by the TomsHardware (09/26/2013).
