The number of victims who reported the attack was varied. However, a local politician told the BBC, about 50 students died.
The politician said two vehicles transporting the bodies to the hospital in the capital of Yobe, Damaturu.

A witness told the Reuters news agency that they counted 40 nejazah, mostly young men suspected student.
College guard, Molima Idi Mato, told the Associated Press news agency that the death toll reached 50 people.
Idi Mato said security forces still searching for the bodies of victims and about 1,000 students fled the campus.
In May, President Goodluck Jonathan ordered the operation against the Boko Haram and Clickestablish an emergency for the northeastern region on 14 May.
