Toddler to be mummified in the mother's room

Amanda Hutton denies all allegations that she abused her daughter to starve to death.


A toddler, who died after two years of famine, were found to be mummified on cots in the room his mother in England.


Four-year-old toddler named Hamza Khan still wrapped in baby clothes when police found "shocking incident" at his home in Bradford in September 2011.

Open the case in court, the prosecutor, Paul Greaney QC told the jury that Hamza died in 2009 when she was four and a half years.
He said the boy's body had been found 21 months later, wrapped with clothes aimed at babies aged six to nine months.
The clothes still fit on Hamzah as its growth has been stunted, said Greaney.
"Growth is stunted because she was suffering from malnutrition in the long period and the conditions that make it dead. Briefly, he starved to death."
"How can a child could die of hunger in the 21st century in the UK?"
Hutton failed to provide nutritious food for her son and because of that failure, Hutton killed his son, said Greaney.
Greaney also said a consultant child specialist visit after the discovery of the corpse and find things more surprising.
He said: "Consultants find so much garbage, rotting foods, feces, and empty bottles."
Hutton then known to be alcoholics and consume cannabis. Meanwhile, Hamza's father had split up with them and live in other areas.

In an interview with police, Hutton said Hamzah began unwell on December 14, 2009.
He said one day, she went to the supermarket to consult with a pharmacist but suddenly got a call from her home.
"He explained that he returned home and found Hamzah was dying. He tried to wake her but to no avail," said Greaney.
"After that he put it in the crib, making the impression that he has treated his body with dignity."

However, the jury was also told that Hutton apparently ordering pizza a few hours after his son's death and continue to take the child care assistance from the government.
"He did not call anyone to ask for help, doctor or ambulance. What is he doing? Several hours later, he ordered a pizza."
Judges will give consideration as to whether this behavior reflects how he is raising children.
