LG Prepare Surprise for Samsung Mobile Curvature

Samsung officially launched the smart phone with a curved screen technology first in the world, yesterday, local time. The cell phone named Samsung Galaxy Round. 

Launch of The Wall Street Journal, October 10, 2013, a smart phone that has a concave shape that has a 5.7-inch landscape display with high resolution. 


Previously, Samsung had been experimenting with a curved screen design on the model of television. Samsung was hoping this curved screen phone can suck the attention and make the competition more competitive phones. 

Unfortunately, Samsung Galaxy Round is only produced for the South Korean market, since the company has no plan to launch it in "outside the cage." 

However, to have a curved screen phones, consumers need to spend in deeply. Because the Samsung Galaxy price  Round at U.S. $ 1,013, or the equivalent of Rp11, 7 million. A very high price for a smart phone. 

Though expensive, Samsung promises the user experience completely new while holding the phone. With automatic curved screen for the phone to be more comfortable grip. 

Galaxy Round about the same specs as the Galaxy Note 3.This smart phone is using Android 4.3 operating system, 2.3 GHz processor, 3GB RAM, LTE connectivity-A, 2800 mAh battery, and weighs 154 grams. 

LG prepare a surprise? 

LG also reportedly is producing curved screen phone and will be introduced to the public in November. 

South Korean companies that claim a bit late in the launch of Samsung mobile curved screen. That's because there are still adding more technology in the curved screen phone made by LG. 

"It looks like LG is really going to produce a phone that has a flexible screen, unlike Samsung who just warped," said Jerry Kang, an analyst with IHS Korea. 

Kang added that LG Chem reportedly is developing a battery that is shaped like a wire cable. Thus allowing the screen can be bent to follow the shape of the phone body. 

"At this early stage, the users should be satisfied with the shape of the curve first. Going forward, the phone may be able to be folded or bent," added Kang.
