The bilateral meeting between Prime Minister David Cameron and Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to take place after the D-Day commemoration on June 6, 2014.

According to a statement of sources in Downing Street, the prime minister would "send a very clear message" about the deteriorating situation in Ukraine.

Cameron will stress the importance of the relationship between the Russian and Ukrainian governments.

The meeting was initiated after Putin criticized Prince Charles for his remarks comparing the action of Putin in Ukraine as Hitler.

Former Polish refugees who met with Prince Charles in Canada last month said they offend Hitler and compare it to Putin.

Putin then reacted and said the remarks Charles "wrong" and "does not reflect the attitude of the royal family".

Significant differences of opinion occur between Britain and Russia in response to the situation in Ukraine.

D-Day celebrations held on Friday to commemorate the Normandy landings 70 years, where more than 156 thousand troops attacked the coastal areas of France and end the second world war.
