Samsung Electronics launched the world's first smart phones with Tizen operating system based on Linux.

Samsung Z will go on sale in Russia in the quarter July to September 2014.

Most of the current Samsung phone using the Android system, but the South Korean company is working with chip maker Intel to develop Tizen as an alternative operating system.

It is seen as a way to make Samsung Earn less dependent on Google, developer of the Android operating system that has been used Samsung.

"This enabled Samsung to provide added value far better than some of its competitors," said Andrew Milroy, vice president of consulting firm Frost & Sullivan, told the BBC.

"However, these measures are unlikely to give a significant effect on the market share of Android," said Milroy.

Samsung will show off the phone on Tizen Developer Conference being held this week in San Francisco, USA.

They have not announced the price of the device.

Samsung is currently the best selling Android device manufacturers in the world.
