Government of Kelantan, Malaysia, gave gifts of gold and eat free service to men as gifts if they practice polygamy, but did not hide it. So reported Bernama on Saturday (06/25/2011).
Director of Development Committee of Women, Family, and Health Kelantan Ubaidah Wan Wan Omar said that this rule will be discussed more carefully before it was enacted.
He said this in response to the Kelantan Government proposal to give special gifts and incentives to the men who practice polygamy in order not to conceal his marriage to avoid major problems that occurred in the family.
Wan Ubaidah added the committee also plans to invite famous celebrities that polygamy is comedian and radio announcer Sinar FM deejay Salleh Yaakob to provide direction in Islamic marriage in the state.
