CALIFORNIA - According to All About Windows Phone (AAWP), Windows Phone Marketplace now has more than 50 thousand applications. Windows Phone takes 14 months to reach that number.
Compared to Android that takes 19 months to reach 50 thousand, Windows Phone arguably faster. While the IOS only takes 12 months to reach 50 thousand applications.
"50 thousand, is the rapid achievement of what we expected and is an important milestone. But more important is accelerating growth in the Marketplace," so it says on AAWP, are like eWeek reported on Wednesday (28/12/2011).
The report also mentioned that Windows Phone Marketplace takes one year to reach 40 thousand applications. But 40 days later with a successful application to add 10 thousand the next.
This is a good sign for Windows Phone in 2012. Of all the applications in the Windows Phone Marketplace, 58 percent is a free application, 14 percent paid with free trial, while the remainder is paid applications.
