The film, starring Liam Neeson thriller 'The Grey' is ranked directly above the North American box office on the first weekend of screenings. Although the film's debut went pretty successful, but 'The Grey' protests from animal lovers.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) considers the depiction of animal wolf role in the film by director Joe Carnahan's not right. Describing the wolf as a bloodthirsty animal, feared resulting in large-scale hunting wolves.

"The author describes a bunch of Alaskan wolves as bloodthirsty monsters, kill every human being victims of a plane crash," PETA wrote in a statement that refers to these scenes.
