Muslim Canadians About Tough Family Honor Killings For

Ottawa - A group of prominent Muslim cleric issued a fatwa in Canada that it defies reason a family honor killing. The fatwa was issued a week after a family of Afghan nationals from Canada was convicted of murdering four people in which three of whom are part of the family itself.

As reported by Reuters on Monday (02.06.2012), the Islamic Supreme Council of Canada said, there are already 34 imams and Muslim leaders in the country which issued a religious fatwa reminding Muslims that understand such pembuhuhan honor, domestic violence stairs and misogyny (hatred of women excessive) is a major sin and a crime. And he who committed the crime must be punishable by a severe form of punishment.

"The last case happened to the Shafia in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, some time ago has reminded us all that we need to do something more to prevent such incidents in the future," saidone Muslim cleric.

"In Islam, there is no reason that can be used as justification for the cases of honor killings, domestic violence and misogyny," he added.

Case that Canadian citizens couldmake a scene, it's been decided in a court in Kingston. Consisting of the murder of his father named Mohammad Shafia (58) along with his second wife, ToobaMohammad Yahya (42) and their eldest son, Hamed Mohammad Shafia (21), was found guilty on charges of first degree murder of four victims.

The victim is the third daughter of Shafia and a woman known as Shafia's first wife, who embraced polygamy. The third daughter was Zainab Shafia (19), Sahar (17) and Geeti (13). While his firstwife named Rona Amir Mohammad(52).

Shafia bodies of three daughtersand his first wife was found in a car submerged in a water canal in 2009 back door. Shafia and his family allegedly deliberately drowned the car.

In the trial that runs for 3 months, the court held that the three girls involved Shafia squabble with his father's conservative in some things. One of his daughter Shafia known to have been dating a man of Pakistani-Canadians, and then run away from home, while his other daughter out of school fordressing too open.

The things that make Shafia angry and then take action on the behavior of her three daughters. In the recorded conversations that became evidence in the trial, Shafia even once called his daughters as prostitutes.
