'Rango' Best Animated Feature Annie Awards 2012




The film, directed by Gore Verbinski 'Rango' was named Best Animated Film at the 2012 Annie Awards event. The film to beat 'Kung Fu Panda 2', 'Puss in Boots', 'Cars 2', 'Rio', to 'Tintin'.

Annie Awards are awards for animated films that have been held since 1972. Annie Awards 2012 winners announcement has been made in Los Angeles on Sunday (2/6/2012) night.

'Rango' also won the Best Writing in a Feature Production, Best Editing, and the Members Favorite Award. But the film that uses the voice of Johnny Depp for the main character had to give up the trophy for Best Directing the director of 'Kung Fu Panda 2' Jennifer Yuh Nelson.

Meanwhile, Bill Nighy won the Best Voice Acting for the film Arthur Christmas, and the 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' took home the trophy category Character Animation in a Live Action Feature Production.
