Prince Nayef, Saudi Arabia's King Successor Candidate Dies

Geneva - Saudi Arabia grieving. Son of their king, Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz al-Saud died. He is a candidate for the throne next stake.

Reuters reported on Saturday(6/16/2012), Nayef died in Geneva, Switzerland. The news was confirmed by royal officials. It is not yet known, what is the disease that claimed his life. What is clear, Nayef has been in Switzerland since May to undergo a series of medical tests.

Nayef is the interior minister of Saudi Arabia since 1975. In October last year, he set as crown prince to replace his brother who died first, Prince Sultan.
