Two giant Taiwanese PC manufacturer is rumored to be a merger, they are Acer and Asus. Merger news about Acer and Asus are sourced from China Times is reporting a possible merger between the two companies in the future.
China Times itself wrote a report about a possible merger between Acer and Asus on the statement by the leadership of Asus, Johnny Shih. Asus leadership said it would remain open-minded about the possibility of a merger between his company with Acer.
Lately it seems mergers or acquisitions among technology companies increasingly prevalent, call it Google is acquiring Motorola and Microsoft acquiring Nokia's mobile phone business. Asus leaders themselves do not usually issue such a statement. Johnny Shih often speak of growth achieved by the company.
Then how about the Acer response from the newspaper merged with Asus? Stan Shih, founder of Acer says that the acquisition or merger is not easy and should be checked prior agreement between the two parties as a whole.
