A Roman cavalry helmet of steel sold for £ 2.2 million or Rp39 billion after being found in a field a village, will be on display at Tullie House Museum, UK
Crosby Garrett Helmet, headpiece name taken from a village near Penrith, was found with the help of metal detectors.
Museum director, Hilary Wade said: "This is the most unusual thing that comes from the Roman period in Britain.
Tullie House tried to buy it when the object was auctioned in 2010 but eventually fell into the hands of this matter private bidders.
Exhibition at Tullie House supported by the Art Fund and the Monument Trust.
Wade said: "This historic objects made for sports activities, not for war.'s Show how big a spectacular impression given by the cavalry."
"This will complement the steel helmet and Roman collections will increase visitor appreciation of the Roman presence in the region."
Having exhibited at Tullie until January 26 next, this steel helmet will be on display in the British Museum.
