Circumcision Not Heal, African Men's Sex urgency

Some African countries strongly advocated circumcision, in an effort to suppress infection Imunnodeficiency Human Virus (HIV). But its success is doubtful, because 24 percent of whom are dying to have sex before the wound healed.

Having sex with the conditions still exist in the pubic wound feared it increases the risk of transmission. Moreover, most of them do not use condoms as a protective, even some who did not with regular partners.

According to a recent survey published in the journal AIDS, there are 24 percent of African men, especially in Zambia who have had sex after circumcision before his injury is completely healed. When the figure reached 30 percent, the estimated rate of HIV transmission will only increase.

Zambia health officials said, the recovery period after circumcision average is 6 months. According to the survey, 24 percent of the newly circumcised men who have sex before the end of recovery even 46 percent have had sex within 3 months after circumcision.

Of the many men who can not wait for the former circumcision cured for sex, as much as 81 percent admitted to not using condoms to protect the wound from friction and body fluid contact. In addition, 32 percent had sex with more than 2 pairs.

"Having sex too soon after circumcision would give a tremendous impact, especially for women, because HIV infection rates can be larger than they really want to avoid," the researchers wrote in a scientific report, as quoted from Indepthafrica, Tuesday (21/2/2012 ).

Circumcision has been programmed nationally in some African countries because it is believed to reduce the risk of HIV transmission by 66 percent. In Zambia, a national circumcision program began in 2007 and in 2010 there was 61 000 men aged 13-39 years who were circumcised.
