Twitter Users Kuwait losing appeal

Reports of Kuwait said a man who was jailed for 10 years for writing tweets deemed insulting to Bahrain and Saudi Arabia's rulers lost on appeal.
A human rights activist, Nawaf al Hendal, told the BBC that the Kuwaiti appeals court confirmed the sentence imposed by a lower court.
Court last year sentenced him to prison for 10 years to Hamad al-Naqi, 23 years.
Al-Naqi was in prison since March 2012 after being convicted criticized authorities in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
In addition the court also said al-Naqi, a Shiite, was found guilty of insulting Islam. He was charged with insulting the Prophet MohammadClick.
According to the court, he uploaded his comments on his Twitter account in February and March 2013.
Al-Naqi confirmed Twitter account was hijacked during that period and he did not write the messages.
A number of human rights activists say the sentence meted out to al-Naqi are part of the phenomenon of stern action against those who are considered to fight through cyberspace.
